Outlaws - The NYC Wrap Party
DAVID BECKHAM AND BELSTAFF FILMS CELEBRATE OUTLAWS
In the first of two global events, David Beckham and Cathy Moriarty, stars of short film Outlaws, attended an exclusive celebration of the film, in New York City, on the last night of NYFW.
Commissioned by Belstaff, and shot on location in Mexico, the film is written and directed by Geremy Jasper, produced by Belstaff Films and Legs Media (a Milk Group Company) and Executive Producer Liv Tyler.
Outlaws is a surreal film within a film starring The Stranger, a mysterious drifter and motorcycle stuntman, haunted by memories of a beautiful Trapeze Artist and hunted by a maniacal Director seeking revenge.
The cast includes David Beckham, Harvey Keitel (Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs), Cathy Moriarty (Raging Bull) and Katherine Waterston (Inherent Vice) – soon to be seen in Danny Boyle and Aaron Sorkin’s Steve Jobs and JK Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
David Beckham and guests including Cathy Moriarty, Justin Theroux, Waris Ahluwalia, Zanna Roberts Rassi, Jim Moore, Mazdack Rassi, Cory Kennedy, Michael Avedon and more celebrated the new film with an exclusive event at New York City’s The Back Room, located in the Lower East Side and one of New York’s most prominent speakeasies. Guests were welcomed with performances from Pigeons and a DJ set from Issac Ferry. Surreal elements from the film were bought to life in New York, where guests could watch the trailer ahead of the global launch on 22nd September.
Of the project, Gavin Haig, CEO of Belstaff summed up: “Through Outlaws, we are seeking to express and share the Belstaff spirit with a wider, global audience, in an unexpected way. Belstaff stands for moto heritage, speed, freedom, adventure and daring, and these values are all represented by the mysterious stranger of David Beckham’s character, central to the film. Our iconic, timeless style and championing of the independent spirit are other values grounded within Outlaws. We hope to relay the message that we celebrate those individuals who seek out their own epic adventures in life.”
